The Threat of Christianity
Romans had been very tolerant of religion, like the Jewish
people.
But the Romans didn't like the Christians and the barley tolerated
them. But then they switched to the killing of the Christians.
In 64 CE a
severe fire in Rome broke out and the emperor Nero blamed the Christians.
Between 303 and 313, the emperor wanted to end Christianity all together
by slaughtering the Christians.
In 313 with a new emperor, made the
christians completely free, but it didn't become Rome's official religion.
The Christians God was a loving caring god and the Roman gods were very
vengeful and intolerant of things
people.
